Yesterday was a day of people. There were lots of spods, all of whom were incredibly lovely, and
jaq has posted pics already. New people are shiny and nice and cute and cuddly, and it was great to meet you all. The rest of you are wonderful, and I knew that already, and
marble was there, and I haven't seen him for *6* years, so Hurrah! for breaking that drout.
Then I feel foul of geek social fallcy number 1 (thanks to
rmc28 for that one), but
chess (who reminds me of my cousin, the one in Japan) saved the day (thankyou!)
Um, yes, so there were people in a cafe being spods, and then some of us invaded Poohsoc, and others went shopping, it was great.
Then later on we ate fish and chips and people dispersed.
I went for a brisk walk (which I should do more of; I love Cambridge at night) and nipped into the Carlton for a swift half, and saw lots more exciting people. (All in the name of PhD avoidance, and it's not even *my* PhD)
