Saturday
Yesterday was a day of people. There were lots of spods, all of whom were incredibly lovely, and ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jaq has posted pics already. New people are shiny and nice and cute and cuddly, and it was great to meet you all. The rest of you are wonderful, and I knew that already, and marble was there, and I haven't seen him for *6* years, so Hurrah! for breaking that drout.
Then I feel foul of geek social fallcy number 1 (thanks tormc28 for that one), but chess (who reminds me of my cousin, the one in Japan) saved the day (thankyou!)
Um, yes, so there were people in a cafe being spods, and then some of us invaded Poohsoc, and others went shopping, it was great.
Then later on we ate fish and chips and people dispersed.
I went for a brisk walk (which I should do more of; I love Cambridge at night) and nipped into the Carlton for a swift half, and saw lots more exciting people. (All in the name of PhD avoidance, and it's not even *my* PhD)
