A new kind of meme...
Since I have friends from around the world and different cultures...
I thought it would be interesting to have everyone post their favorite recipe reflecting their heritage or location. I love trying out new foods.
Post this in your LJ replacing my recipe with yours. It would be helpful if you included serving suggestions/side dishes. It can be a main course, side-dish, dessert, appetizer or just a snack...whatever.
Also leave a comment here with a link to your entry so my friends can check out your recipes too!

Snow Pudding (auf Deutsch, Schnee Pudding).
I'm not sure how traditional German this is, but it's easy and tasty and I think it's fairly traditional in the north west where my family's from.
It's simple, too - make custard (like it says on the tin). Make it nice and thick. Separate an egg or two, and add the yolk(s) to the custard. Whip the whites until stiff, then fold into the custard in such a way as to produce a visual effect of snow. Eat.
