What are you reading Wednesday?

ghoti_mhic_uaitToday I am mostly reading Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. Pull quote (from Daily Express review) on back 'Makes Buffy look fluffy' gives the right impression - cute blonde girl with troubled past takes on supernaturals. It's a nice look at werewolf politics with a light touch, a brain candy urban fantasy perfect for curling up with and not thinking too hard.
I paused on Ancillary Sword for no other reason than I was going away and wanted a paper book rather than electronic. It's OK, but now I've remembered who Justice of Toren reminds me of, I want to go and read that instead. It is The Ship Who Sang, which I recommend to everyone who shows the slightest interest in AI books (although actually she's a cyborg); I think McCaffrey's SF is much better than her fantasy, much as I loved Pern as a child I'm not eager to return.
