Science day

Today was science day at school. I love science day,but it was my day off.
Benedict made silly putty and did not clone mice. This is all he will tell me,presumably in case I get upset.
Still, I bet you're all pleased I was off for science day; last year I made everyone look at my dissected owl pellet.

Date: 2008-07-11 10:12 pm (UTC)While PVA glue and borax do make something of an approximation, I was making the real thing - which bounces, shatters and flows exactly the way it's supposed to. No nine-year-old would ever be let loose with dimethylsilyl dichloride...

I am a bit disappointed about the uncloned mice. Never mind. I am supposed to be working through the experiments in 'How to Fossilise your Hamster', but I've only got as far as swirly patterns formed by cream on top of Tia Maria (actually, this was very pretty to see) and putting salt in slightly flat fizzy pop to make it flow over.
