10 things that make me happy

1. The gorgeous grey days like today, blanketed in cloud.
2. The autumnal colours of the trees.
3. The autumnal colours of Colin's hair.
4. The African choir at church - it's a joyful choir with joyful music and I love singing in it - I feel so lucky to have been made very welcome, despite being utterly European.
5. Benedict hugs. I'm lucky enough to get many of these.
6. Finding lost things. Today it was Benedict's bow, yesterday my walking stick.
7. Rachel games and cakes.
8. We're going to the US! I need to email people, but we're going for many Thurman hugs and general excitement.
9. Jelly. Who can be unhappy with jelly? (Cherry milky jelly currently setting for our dinner)
10. Swimming. I might go swimming at lunchtime today.

You have probably seen the new beta stuff for lj design? It might not be that new but I just noticed yesterday and saw in styles - hobbies a knitting style, and thought of you.

I prefer sunny days myself. Is Colin's autumnal hair seasonally nice, or nice even when it isn't Autumn?

Colin is the nicest thing all year round, and his hair is only less nice than his nose and my two favourite freckles (one on his eyelid, one on his lip), so both. Especially nice because it matches - so for autumn and days when I'm eating gingerbread.

not weird, more individual. It's nice to be different, and it's helpful to like grey days; you can hide from a sunny day, but grey days go all the way in.
