Yesterday I bought a juicer in Tesco

(Tesco are having an appliance sale - we bought a half price vacuum cleaner and a juicer for a tenner (normally 15 quid).)
This is the juicer I bought.

Anyway, I bought it, and today I made carrot and kiwi smoothies.

I had a large carrot and two kiwis, which I put through the juicer, then added an equal amount of yoghurt and poured it into two mugs and topped up with milk. Very easy, very tasty.

No you didn't. Kiwi smoothie would be illegal, as they are protected birds. In any case, they probably have a rather too gamey and stringy texture.
You may, however, have used kiwi-fruit, which is much better for you and contains shed-loads of wonderful vitamins.

(Well, as I thought was obvious, 'kiwi' being a common colloquial shortening of 'kiwi-fruit' I did indeed use that.)

When I went to NZ, my friend that I was visiting warned me that I had to say kiwi-fruit, or people would look at me as if I was completely daft.

Is the sale only of their own-brand appliances, or are other ones discounted too?

Is this one particular branch of Tesco, or more general?

I can think of some things I might want to buy if the price is right.

We bought this Kenwood vacuum cleaner at 44.98, which is half price and the same price as on the website.

Looking at the website, fewer things are on sale than I remembered, possibly because I only actually wanted the things that were on sale; we were in Bar Hill, if that makes a difference, but as they're on the website anyway, it probably doesn't.

Er. Normal kiwis; I only tend to see them in one size. But quite a big carrot.

a good tip I read, is if someone is coming round but you haven't time to clean up for them, plug the vacuum cleaner in, and then it looks as if you were just about to clean.
