Letter meme
Mar. 11th, 2016 10:29 pmThere's an old fashioned letter meme going around, and
livredor gave me a T. Ask if you'd like a letter!
Something I hate: Toothache. I mean, who doesn't? But hate is a strong word, and this seems fitting of it.
Something I love: Tealoaf. Specifically, my Aunty Teressa's recipe, which is full of tea and fruit and my grandparents always had a tinful of it, for tea time. I should make some.
Somewhere I've been: I spent many years in Telford, which has a nice cast iron bridge and very little else of merit. I wouldn't recommend it as a holiday destination.
Somewhere I'd like to go: Tanzania. My friend moved there for a year when we were 15ish, and I've been enamoured of the idea ever since, even going so far as to learn a little Swahili (since forgotten). I think we found a good deal on flights to Togo, which seems like a good idea, and who doesn't want to go to Tuvalu?
Someone I know: I have an aunt Teressa, who is the aunt who fetched me biscuits when I was starving during our wedding photos - and the mother of one of my godsons is Teresa, she's geeky, sarcastic and fabulous, and I met her because we have children the same age.
A film I like: Well, I am a bit of a Disneyphile, so I'm guessing you're expecting Tangled or Toy Story. And both of those are great films, and I'd recommend, and be happy to watch with you. But this time, I'm going to say There Will be Blood which is a film about oil and how greed can get the better of someone until they lose their, well, their ubuntu, their sense of community and common humanity and how we all work.
