I seem to ahve said that I'd start running with
beckyc (who has promised not to laugh at me, due to being able to run about as well as I do). Admittedly, this is a change in my 'you won't get me up in one of those' stance. (Some of my coworkers run, mostly with the Histon Hobblers).
Anyway, given that this probably iusn';t a stupid iudea; assuming that I can't afford proper running shoes, what should I wear on my feet? Is it better to buy something reasonable secondhand from ebay, or will whatever Tesco sell me do?
Update: That's more or less as I thought. I'll nip along tomorrow and see what I can get. Of ourse, I also have no idea what to look for in a good trainer, apart from
shermarama's comment about thickness, I'll just see if I can find something comfortable. I've never had a pair of trainers I felt comfortable in befre.
