Cute words

Earlier, I mentioned that, apart from 'bi-bi-plane' (triplane), 'barrister' is the only word which Benet has managed to make sound cute. I was reminded later of 'rhinoconerous' and 'venchtable' (rhinocerous, vegetable, in case that's not obvious). Now, rhinoconerous was clearly cute, and thus I am clearly wrong, but how about venchtable? I think not. What do you think? [Poll #308917]

Thinking about it I can't say I've met any adult with an English accent who doesn't pronounce it venchtable, so in that way it's not cute.

No-one else in the house says venchtable, there's a definite difference between the way he said it and the way we say it.

'Barrister' is difficult to describe. The rr is a cross between an r and a w.

Hehe, now I think about it, doesn't it sound like wench-table (with an accent of course), it's like vampiric slang for 'cute chick I'd like to stir-fry' ..or something... um yeah :)

I tend to think that if it's a mispronounciation that is still clear enough for me to tell what the kid is saying, then it's cute. If it isn't clear enough, then it's irritating. I suspect venchtable is clear enough, so it's cute.
