Morris Minors

Some of you may wish to be aware that the Cambridge Museum of Technology is having an exhibition of Morris Minors on the 7th of March. I'm not certain of the time, it's afternoon, I know that. All MMs are welcome, as are people who just want to look.

My first car was a Moris Minor. I hit a bus and it died. It wasn't a new one, you had to double the clutch sometimes to change gears, but it was much-loved, and I hadn't had it very long.

The scrap people gave me £2.10(that's like 50p) for it and it cost £2.5 to tow it away :)

Mosbah was home on leave, I was a student at Sheffield Uni, and he'd only been home 3 days. It was winter and Christmas holidays and the first time he stayed with me. We were on the way to get him insured so he could learn to drive too. I had stitches in my head and he had bruised ribs. Oh, and I had a black eye too.

When I graduated he bought me a (second-hand) black Anglia and I put Donald Duck on the bonnet and a big red flower on the back. It was the flower power late 60s then.
