My first car was a Moris Minor. I hit a bus and it died. It wasn't a new one, you had to double the clutch sometimes to change gears, but it was much-loved, and I hadn't had it very long.
The scrap people gave me £2.10(that's like 50p) for it and it cost £2.5 to tow it away :)
Mosbah was home on leave, I was a student at Sheffield Uni, and he'd only been home 3 days. It was winter and Christmas holidays and the first time he stayed with me. We were on the way to get him insured so he could learn to drive too. I had stitches in my head and he had bruised ribs. Oh, and I had a black eye too.
When I graduated he bought me a (second-hand) black Anglia and I put Donald Duck on the bonnet and a big red flower on the back. It was the flower power late 60s then.
