I am super excited and a little bit nervous, but I love how lots of people have a Kazakhstan story or a story about some nice Kazakh person they know. ALthough the first time was a bit nerve-wracking - I was introduced to someone as 'This is Kirsten, she loves to travel' just when I was starting to plan and they replied with 'ah, yes, my grandmother was in a gulag in Kazakhstan'.
