Wii (again)

Is it normal for the shop channel to take an age to connect? I left it trundling along for over an hour, and it *still* said connecting...

I've had no problems with the forecast channel, so I don't think it's interference from other networks, although obviously I could be wrong.

I wanted the voting channel!

I don't think so- last time I used it it took a few minutes to connect, but it's the channel that seems to take the longest out of them all. Then again our Wii is practically next to the router so it doesn't have problems with signals.

The voting channel is great fun; I'll add your Wii if the boys haven't already done so...

We've done that. Also, it's getting through to other things, so I don't think it's a firewall issue, but I can get Colin to have a look,

I get this with my Wii occasionally. I think it just means that the Shop site is busy, and hasn't sent a full answer yet (but is answering requests).

The only thing I'd change about the Wii is how it connects to the shop - when it does this, the only way out is to pull the power. Doesn't seem to harm it, but is annoying. :-(

I now connect during "off peak" times, and haven't seen this for ages.

I hadn't thought, but of course Sunday lunchtime (people rolling over after parties and looking for a new game) would be peak time :)
