If I upgrade to dapper, will it make the internet go? and other stupid support qs

Recently, I've managed to apply the correct plugins to the little laptop I use to make half the popcap games run. None of them now complain about plugins anymore,. but some of them simply won't load. For example, I can play bejewelled, but bejewelled2 won't run. I can play bookworms, but typer shark gets to the point where you choose your level, then hangs. Insaniquarium, for example, just gives a white screen, as do several others.

Is there any way around this?

Also, I've never seen an error message like that before: the page I was looking for, with the added line 'The page you are looking for may have been moved, deleted or may simply be temporarily unavailable'. Bless.

I'm guessing that is a Flash problem, I think its flash 7-8 there is no flash 8 for linux yet and whilst it doesn't complain it just acts weird
