December Days
Nov. 9th, 2015 10:58 amI really enjoyed last year's December Days - and learnt a lot, mostly about the differences between my perception of the world and everyone else's, a little about me a little about everyone else.
So, I'd like to do it again, if y'all don't mind.
Pick a day, tell me what you'd like me to write about. Screening is on, but I promise I will answer all the prompts.
If you don't request a special day, I'll just slot you into the first open slot. There's a bunch of religious stuff (eg 6th for St Nicholas, 15th my namesday, 25th Christmas, 27th Holy Family, 28th Holy Innocents) and a bunch of personal stuff (eg girlfriend's birthday, karate grading (which I'm not sure I'll do, but Judith probably will), so pick wisely (or don't bother, that's OK too).
Here's my list from last year, should you want inspiration or just to read old stuff.
1. Dancing
2. Good games I discovered since last year.
3. Ethical consumerism and how I explain it to the children.
4. It's library day! What'd you get?
5. Which partner should I invite to dinner?
6. When you go to church, what does a usual service comprise?
7. Children's media that's also fun for adults
8. Things my children like that I don't (TV, books etc)
9. Why I home educate.
10. Art (this one has a detailed prompt and might be split up over more than one post if I don't get enough prompts or might just be long and thinky).
11. General experience/thoughts about cooking.
12. The Archers/UMRA
13. My childhood observations of poly.
14. What differences do you see in how Benedict developed at the same age [as the littles].
15. A day off
16. What organised activities do you do with the children?
17. Learning new skills/getting over the hump
18. New crafts (nålbinding/cross stitch)
19. Recipe recommendation
20. Something musical
21. Paganism
22. Passing on skills (NYR)
23. Art part 2
24. What do you tell the children about Santa?
25. What's your Christmas service like?
27. Free software and your relationship to the community.
29. Story for Ceb
30. Gilmore Girls
31.
