Very fetching

I decided it was time to get over my fear of waste yarn (specifically, of knitting things with waste yarn to be unpicked and knit from later). Therefore, (well, it was the other way round really - I wanted to knit the pattern and decided I wasn't going to let nerves top me) I cast on for Fetching yesterday on the way to Ilford. I've just cast off now, and I'm not sure why I was so nervous! Well, I thought I wouldn't be able to unpick effectively - but it turned out to be easy! I've only done the left glove atm, in Shetland wool, black with flecks of colour. The stitch pattern doesn't really stand out, but the effect is elegant and understated rather than pointless (I think). They're for an alt.gothic.fashion swap.

Next, I'm going to make them in cerise mohair for me; I like bright pink fingerless gloves :)

Star Wars

Well, it wasn't quite as boring as I remembered.

On the plus side, Benedict loved it, and sat through it with no problems.
