It occurs to me that in other countries I would have fruit - for example, in Spain I ate lots of watermelon, kiwi and pineapple at breakfast, with bread and meat and cheese, and that;s pretty much what I'd expect to eat anywhere on mainland Europe with the exception of France, where I have always eaten some sortof baked good (croissant or pain au raisin or similar), yoghurt and apple puree. With variations on the type of cheese/amount of fish/proportions of meat to cheese/types of fruit. Whether I'm right to expect that or not is another question.
