Productive shopping day yesterday.
Jan. 17th, 2008 08:04 amI'd like to mention the following points for locals;
Cutlacks have some gorgeous cheeseboards and tea sets (and a breakfast set featuring a car-shaped egg cup, a plate with a road on it and a spoon which followed theme but I forget how).
The Cats Protection League shop is having a book sale, fill a bag for £2 (and they're *big* bags).
The Salvation Army shop has lots of cool games. I bought Blockbusters and Hippos Gloutons (which turned out to only have two hippos... but never mind, it's Hungry Hippos in French, and Benedict tells me that Kit is probably getting Hungry Hippos for her birthday, which will have four hippos)
Also, the Polish deli on Chesterton road also sells red beans, so I can make mochi. That's exactly why. (I bought frozen red bean paste buns, but while they were nice, they weren't the same).
