We went to see Outlaw last night, because it reminded me of a book I read once and really liked.
Near the beginning was an iteration of a nightmare of mine... and I felt sick. The dodgy camera work did nothing to dispel that. Do not see this film if you suffer from motion sickness - the cameraman hasn't heard of a tripod.
I'm not sure I was the target audience - I failed really to sympathise with any of the main characters - and thus perhaps it didn't work for me as it should have. However, I did think it was a good film, if somewhat uncomfortable, spoilt only by the aforementioned camerawork. Shot selection was good - direction was good - acting was good - pace was good, with a range of action continuing throughout - but let down by one bad aspect.
