In other news

I discovered a desire to reread Murder in the Cathedral shortly before I left. I wondered aloud to Jon on the possibilities of buying same in the airport, and he informed me that I was insane.

Well, there is a poetry section; plenty of Ted & Sylvia, all the Seamus Heaney I can eat, and well, no Eliot. George Eliot, yes; TS Eliot no.

I bought a copy of the Hotel New Hampshire instead.

Keep passing the open windows.

I have a new favourite restaurant!

No longer will Loch Fyne and Restaurant 22 vie for my favours and the top spot, the winner is:

Fruit enchiladas

Today I made fruit enchiladas for our pudding. I more or less followed this recipe, but with one apple, one pear, two kiwis and a banana instead of all apples, and then for the sauce I used coconut flour instead of wheat flour and added some sour cream, and baked it with the sauce.

Benedict didn't like the sauce, so next time I'll do a custard-style sauce instead, but it was very nice in general.

Shame I'm pretty certain I don't have enough of the right gauge wool. (Or do I?.... maybe I do.)

It'll go to the bottom of the list anyway. Maybe it'll be October before I get that far :)
