I noticed recently that a couple of people aren't aware of the scheme which several local charities run, whereby there's a box outside a supermarket, and you put in groceries/toiletries and then the relevant charities come along and take the stuff to homeless people. Sadly, this appears to be only operating from Milton Tesco (and possibly Coldham's Lane Sainsbury) whereas it used to be in place at town Sainsbury, Newmarket Road Tesco and Asda as well.
I figured it was worth mentioning. I know that charity giving is a very personal thing, and I try not to talk about it too much, it's just that I happened to be going shopping with a couple of you and noticed that you were surprised, so I figured it was worth mentioning. Also, Project Linus is, I feel, worth propogating even though a lot of you don't knit/crochet/sew/quilt.
