Is the mystery item supposed to be a very primitive doll-for-your-doll? You know, just a very basic ragdoll made from a piece of cloth?
Also - since I've managed to only just realise the doll you've been so excited about is an American Girl: on my way to work I pass by this place every morning.
I don't *think* so, because she has a proper doll, only I don't have it. I wondered whether it might be a napkin. I think it's something which a child added at some point, so could be anything the child wanted it to be; it's quite raggety.
