First (official) word!

Judith has been sying 'ngry' (hungry or thirsty) and 'sblas sblas' (splash splash) already, but there's never been a moment shen she's obviously said it for the first time, more that they've become things in her speech that we understand.

Well, today she pointed at the fruit bowl and said 'bear'! (She meant pear, I don't keep bears in my fruit bowl.) First time she's tried to use my languae anddefinitely succeeded.

Aaah, yes. I've completely forgotten our children's first words, even though they had been very late in coming. I do remember a stage when Sam pointed out every aeroplane he saw whenever we were out, and another when Hannah pointed out daffodils. 'Daffodil' came quite early for her, but then became forgotten as she learnt 'flower'. Sam's first two-word sentence was quite exciting (excitement-making), but I forget what it was. Ho hum.

Benedict had 'ae-ay' and 'b-p' before words (aeroplane and biplane)
