Yes - I answered based on my current inclination, but djm4 and I are planning to go to the London hustings before we make up our minds.

That would be a fantastic idea if they'd ever sent me a membership card and thus I knew my membership number.

Presumably, it's one of the random numbers on the letter that came with the ballot paper, but which one?

If you look on the letter from Lord Rennard, just above your address there's a line of numbers - your membership number is the (probably) seven digit one in the middle. It's repeated on the Leadership Election Appeal slip on the back of the letter.
