So, elections coming up and I just got my ballot paper.

Three candidates, STV, one position. Quite a serious vote, so naturally I sha'n;t actually do it based on a LJ poll. I'm just curious.

[Poll #668449]

But what you should really do is come with me to the hustings on the 15th, and not make your mind up until after you've met them all

I base my advice soley on the recommendations of people I think know better than me, as I haven't looked into the issue deeply, never having got around to joining a mainstream political party.

Speaking as someone who's not a party member but did vote for the LibDems at the last general election, Simon Hughes is the person least likely to make me defect. I wish there were a stronger candidate, though.

I got my ballot paper too. I think they are all strong candidates and will be good in the cabinet whether leader or not, but I liked that Simon Hughes says he wants to win next time, not just be opposition. And I didn't like the reactions to his being bi, so he gets my first vote.
