Queue for importing old journal

My recipe blog is stuck at the 'importing posts' stage and has been for 20 hours, do you think that sounds normal or is there something I should do, and if so, what? Start again?

Update:My entries are finished, took about 36 hours but I was asleep at the time, and the comments are still in a queue, but it looks like everyone is trying to do it at the same time, and that's the only reason it's slow.

Advice is wait until it's been 24h, then open a support request. It will be slow at the moment, what with so many people doing it, though.

Yeah, if you go to the importer page it tells you the current queue, which seems to be higher every time I look.

For reference, when fanf imported his journal, on the day of new LJ ToS before the USA woke up, there was no queue. When I got around to running it for me in the evening of that day, the comments queue was about 65 and the entries queue about 100. They're now 751 and 1328 respectively. I am a bit worried that at some point LJ will cut off the DW servers.

(My import has duplicated my crossposted entries which it's not supposed to do, so I've raised a Support request as instructed by the FAQ, *sigh*. Given the volume, I'm not expecting a speedy response, and at least I *have* the data on Dreamwidth now.)

I started an import about the same time as you and I'm still in the queue too.
