Opticians

Benedict and I went to the optician's today; his first eye test! He's slightly long sighted, but that's normal at his age, and nothing to worry about. I'm having new glasses (and if you've seen my current pair, you'll know why) and prescription goggles! because I was good and bought 25 quid frames instead of bendy frames, and the goggles only cost 35 quid.

In other news, only Jacob knew any of the lyrics from my lyrics quiz (or maybe most of you haven't looked at it yet) which surprised me, especially as it wasn;'t the Porcupine Tree which he recognised. Still only one song. Maybe I should do an easy version...

I didn't recognise the Porcupine Tree lyric either, which surprises me. Although I can't say I listen to that album as often as the others, or that I pay much attention to the words ;)

(PS. I've read that that particular song is a pastiche of/homage to 'The Dukes of Stratosphear', an alter ego of XTC.)

I didn't get any of them. One of them does look as if it might be PT, on reflection, but it's a while since I've listened to any.

I think some of them were unecessarily difficult; also, that my musical tastes are slightly odd for the people I know on here or mono.

Jon only got 7 of them, and of those 7, one he got wrong and had to go think again...
