Yesterday it was buds only, but this morning, all the buds had opened. Spring has really sprung (which explains why it's so hot).

Similarly check out the spring watch in my favourite bird-watching blog, docbrite. (Actually, I love his religious posts too, and of course he's an author)

It was actually taken on my phone's camera :) I see why you ask though, the slightly dirty lens has smudged it all making it look less real.

It looks a lot like a painting, and I wasn't sure if you'd painted it with some awesome hidden talent, or used a Photoshop filter to make it look a bit paint-ish. But it's almost more impressive that the effect is just serendipity from a dirty phone camera lens!

Flickr is also free, and it's much easier to post pics from flickr to livejournal.

Oh, I see. You have to pay to host pictures on livejournal, but if your photos are on flickr or your personal website or anywhere else, you can link from Livejournal without paying. There should be a button marked 'insert image' at the top of your text entry box, and you just cut and paste the url.

Or you type lessthan img src="url" morethan (but using the signs instead of the words) and just fill your picture url in.
