Oregon Trail.

Seen a lot of people talking about this game recently. Apparently, you have to make your way across America without dieing. Anyway, I had a poke around and found a copy but http://free-game-downloads.mosw.com require you to pimp them before you play. That's cool by me - I probably would have mentioned them anyway, as my source.

So, there you go.

Update: Doesn;t work though. Damn windows-centric universe. I remain unable to download the game. Any other suggestions welcome.

IMO (and I've never actually done this) you're going about it backwards: first you need to get your computer running an Apple II emulator. Then try installing the game.

Ah, I see! I thought when it said it would run under windows that meant I could use wine.

I think it meant that there was an Apple II emulator that would run on Windows, which you could then use to run TOT. There's no reason, I suppose, that you shouldn't be able to run TOT under an Apple II emulator under Wine under Linux, but it seems a bit tortuous when you could (presumably) just run the Apple II emulator directly.

Ahh, I remember playing that game when I was in fourth grade or so. It's not bad.

Try here? Links at the bottom. I remember playing this too at school when we were studying the American West in History class for GCSE. If I recall, we thought it was quite good fun. :)

Thankyou. I do need an apple II emulator for that one, which the other appeared to be translated. Still, I shall try it. Thankyou

I think there's a link to the emulator as well? Fingers crossed you can make it work!
