Crochet

My first finished crochet item which isn't basically an overgrown granny square!

I made this hood for my new doll. I'm no making mittens to match, but my thumb has started to ache, so I think I'll stop for today.

Pictures when she arrives, and is wearing them :)

YOu could crochet my new doll things :)

The bolero sounds nice.

If I could find a nice pattern. It has to be double knit, use not more than 300g, prefereably 250g, in case I need more than it says, and I fancy lacy, with not too much sewing, and not picking up stitches all the way around the edge to make an edging (although I don't mind fancy shaping). Am I being too picky, do you think? I think there are some non-lacy bolero patterns in a book in the library, I'll have to go back and have a look, but the knitting shop only had patterns for 4 ply and something that was thicker than double knit.

There is a nice website called knitty.com, though.

I still think this would be nice.

Are you aware of http://knittingpatterncentral.com?

That has links to a lot of free patterns in one place.

It is nice, but not right for my wool. I did check the website, knitting pattern central, but didn't look at all the patterns. There might be one, but I haven't yet tried all the links.
