More on Shockwave and Ubuntu

Instead of running the Windows version of firefox (which was slow and unstable) I can run the linux version and run shockwave through wine. Walkthrough here.

Are there many sites that depend on Shockwave these days?

I don't know in general; many of the games I want t play use shockwave (like the ones on http://www.neopets.com or http://www.americangirl.com)
