Moderated communities

When you pot to a moderated community, do you get an email telling you that your post has gone through, and the URL?

(I've tried to post to holiday_wishes and they like you to go back and add tags, only I can't find it and am not sure whether that's because it's not there yet, or whether it's the huge volume of stuff)

In other news, I got a really great Secret Santa recipient at work - someone who won't guess me, but who I know what they'll like.

Nope, you don't get an e-mail - sadly.

With a comm like holiday_wishes, the posts go into a queue to be approved by a moderator, and they let them out at a steadyish rate so as not to overwhelm people's flists. It should appear eventually :P

I'll keep a lookout for it :D

secret santa

John always gets me to wrap his secret santa up for him. Do you think I should have secret santa at my work? Should perhaps point out that I am self-employed, and work freelance at home.

Absolutely! I made the woman who organised it this year wait while I checked I didn't have my own name, and she said 'If you do you should do it anyway, at least you'll know you like it!'

I did once have a 'work's Christmas dinner' all by myself. It was a frozen turkey dinner followed by about 6 puddings (Lebkuchen, Stollen, Spekulatien, Chocolate, Mince Pie, I forget what else.)
