I wasn't particularly shocked by this

I expect the government we currently have to be working towards Utopia, the state where everyone is safe because noone is free.

I am slightly surprised that the US don't seem to have got there first.

Ye gods this takes the piss. If anything, the wrongly imprisoned should be given compensation for the loss of earnings, liberty, and reputation that they have suffered through the failure of the legal system.
