Star Wars predictions (spoilery)

Obviously, everyone in the internet has already said this, but

Rey is clearly Luke's daughter, they play Anakin/Luke's them in her vital moments and the light saber calls to her. She even looks like Padmé. I'm expecting an Empire Strikes Back style "I am your father" though.

In episode 8 Rey will have one hand cut off. In episode 9, Solo Jr will lose both his.

I always thought the Jedi were supposed to be celibate, which is why Annakin and Padme couldn't be together. But given that the Jedi had all but died out and they needed more, it is a possibility. But that would be way to obvious. Surely Luke would have wanted Rey to grow up in a family who would look after her, not abandon her.

Yeah, the "let's abandon our jedi children, that worked so well last time" plot doesn't seem very sensible.

At least Leia's adoptive father eventually got to be POTUS!

It's not clear how much of the old Jedi code Luke is sticking to; after all Luke had disagreements with Obi-Wan and Yoda, especially over the matter of attachments to particular individuals.

It is, of course, possible for Luke not to know he has a child, although the Force might complicate things. So maybe Luke got separated from his partner while she was pregnant, when he caught up with her again she was already dead, and the child had been snatched away by someone. Except that that would entail her having been snatched away twice, because there was a definite case of her being snatched away as a child in her vision.
