I have holiday write up to do, so have some procrastination

1. Marmite- love or hate?
Meh. Don't love it, don't hate it, generally avoid it but it's quite nice in mashed potato.

2. Marmalade- thick cut or thin cut?
Thick cut. But I can't have orange marmalade at the moment and no other marmalade fills the niche for me. I mean, they're OK but not the same. Closest I can get is homemade (so not as sweet) cranberry sauce.

3. Porridge- made with milk or water? / 4. Do you like salt, sugar or honey on your porridge?
Milk, and covered with sugar or maple syrup, a little cinnamon & nutmeg, and maybe dried fruit.

5. Loose tea or teabags?
Loose tea. I have yet to find a teabag that doesn't give me a stomach ache.

6. Where on your door is your letterbox?
In the middle, horizontal.

7. What's your favourite curry?
I really love the Gurkha dish Aladum. Other than that, not too hot and I'm probably happy. There's a place we go to occasionally that does a thing with mango which is lovely. (OK, googled; Cocum, and it's mango pulissery)

8. What age is the place where you live?
My house is 60s and the city was given its first charter in 12th century.

9. Where do the folks running your local corner shop come from?
Er. Don't know, never spoken to them. Oops.

10. Instant or fresh coffee?
Either. We normally don't bother with fresh, but I do sometimes. But it's always organic fair trade at home.

11. How far are you from the sea?
Too far. (about 2 hours by train)

12. Have you travelled via Eurostar?
Yes. The first time it was 10 hours late, which apparently has only happened once... I've had no problems on it since though.

13. If you were going to travel abroad, where's the nearest country to you?
France.

14. If you're female (or possible even some males) do you carry a handbag?
*gender essentialism klaxon* yes, I do, and I have way too much stuff I need regularly to put it in a pocket. (phone, keys, purse, railcard, umbrella, hat, microscope, telescope, first aid kit, drawing materials for children, bike pump, screwdrivers).

15. Do you have a garden? What do you like growing?
Yes. I'm rubbish at growing things, although I have a flourihsing greengage tree and the great-grandchild from my great-grandmother's bay tree.

16. Full cream, semi skimmed or skimmed?
Full fat.

17. Which London terminal would you travel into if going to the capital?
Usually Kings Cross

18. Is there a local greasy spoon where you live?
No :( it burnt down and reopened as a sandwich shop with no seating.

19. Do you keep Euros in the house?
Probably husband has some.

20. Does your home town have a Latin, Gaelic or Welsh alternative
Duroliponte was here. I'm assuming university uses a Latin name but I cba to look it up.

No.

23. Are your kitchen sink taps separate or a mixer?
Separate.

24. Do you have a favourite brand of blended tea?
I mostly get supermarket brands. Best of all is blended on the spot, from tea bought from Michael Matthews, the tea man on the market, but I don't get to the market often enough to buy all my tea there.

25. What's in your attic if you have one?
There is a teeny tiny space, not big enough for more than a box, and it has some of our favourite baby clothes there. We also have a garage for external storage space, and that has the christmas tree and decorations, toys in rotation (ie when we get bored we go and swap), suitcases and other stuff we use infrequently.

26. If you go out for a cream tea, what jam do you like on your scone?
I think I usually go for raspberry.

27. Talking of scones- scon or scown? Jam or cream first?
Scone to rhyme with stone. And I get very upset when posher people than me make fun of the way I say it. Jam first, hten scone, then cream. It's the only way to resolve the argument from a non Dumnonian perspective.

28. Barth or bath? / 29. Carstle or castle?
Bahth and Cahstle.

30. What flavour of crisps do you favour?
Ready salted.

Garlic mushrooms or maybe pineapple fritter now I'm veggie. If I'm further north, cheese plate pie. I miss rag pudding, still trying to make a good veggie version.

Takeaway.

33. If you have one, what colour is your wheelie bin?
Black for general, blue for recycling, green for compostables.
