Somewhat refreshing (for a scammer)

"I'm John from *mumble* Computing"
"What previous relationship do you have with me?"
"We provided the software for your computer"
"What software?"
"The operating system"
"What operating syste,?"
"Windows"
"I'm sorry, you have the wrong number"
"I have the right number"
"Then you're lying to me"
"What benefit would I get from lying to you?"
"You just said you provided Windows for my computer. I don't have a computer with Windows on. Therefore either you've got the wrong number or you're lying to me"
"I'm lying to you"

(They usually go for 'I've got the wrong number, sorry' at this point)

It's always a question of can you confuse them to death before you get bored. Also, some of them seem to have difficulty understanding one, and call on a very bad line. Admitting they're lying is clearly a good addition to their script.

I'm never quite sure whether to be annoyed or grateful when the conversation goes

"I can't hear you, could you speak a bit louder please?"
