Can you identify a book?

It's a children's book, aimed at the 7-10 age range, I think - I was reading it about the same time as Anastasia Krupnik and Ramona Quimby. There may be a series, I'm not sure.

The main character is a girl with a Greek name, she has a brother and a father who's a classicist. I can't remember whether her mother is dead or maybe gets a bit part. They have a car which is mostly blue with a little red. Um. That's about all I remember, sorry. There was lots of Classics-geekery and bad punning though and I loved it.

Try asking the Book Sleuth forum at ABE - I was very impressed!

Ramona Quimby!! I loved those books! Actually, I think they were the first books I ever bought for myself! I'd forgotten about that...

There was a film recently, which I didn't manage to go and see, so am waiting for the DVD. I'm ridiculously excited about it, given how long it is since I read any of the books.

I didn't, and that's very useful, thankyou

I don't recognise it, but it sounds like exactly the sort of book I'd like to check out :)
