Gosh.

I really liked it and found it uplifting and hopeful almost all the way through. People being hopeful; people being sensible about difficult situations; nobody being blamed or demonised; difficult options presented fairly and acknowledged fairly, and everyone pretty much getting what they wanted in the end with no magical solutions. I don't think there Jennifer Garner character would be a particularly good mother, but as a step-parent, I really like to see positive portrayals of understanding the levels at which family is an active choice.

I don't mean any of that to come across as negative to or dismissive of your reaction, but I completely don't understand it and I'd like to, if you'd care to expand on it; if not that's also fine.
