Everything is relative. I had a shit year last year, and this year hasn't been much better, but I'm not an Ethiopian or an Iraqui, I'm not terminally ill, I'm not a 40 year-old geek that still lives with his mum. There's always someone worse off. But we still need the whinge - it's a release, a safety valve, and it can help us to put things back into perspective as long as we don't dwell too long.

Hey, it's your journal. Say what you like. If there's something you need to complain about, just complain about it. Just because somebody else has a worse problem doesn't mean your small problem isn't there at all.
